Los Angeles Angels’ starting outfielder Mike Trout, who joined the World Baseball Classic (WBC) USA team, regretted not being on the team before.
In an interview with ‘MLB Network’ reported on the 8th (Korean time), Trout revealed that he regretted joining the national team only now, saying먹튀검증, “He regrets not participating before.”
Trout, who has a brilliant career such as the 2012 American League Rookie of the Year, MVP 3 times, All-Star 10 times, and Silver Slugger 9 times, has never participated in the WBC.
After watching the USA win its first championship in 2017, he finally got a chance to represent the USA.
“It’s really special to play with USA tattooed on your chest,” he said of his thoughts on joining the national team.
He continued, “I am playing for my country. There are so many good players in the national team, and we will play for the fans who will watch us.”
It is true that the U.S. team, the winner of the previous tournament, was weakened as starting resources such as Nestor Cortez Jr. (Yankees) and Clayton Kershaw (Dodgers) left ahead of this tournament.
Local media and gambling companies are citing the Dominican Republic or Japan, not the United States, as potential candidates for the championship.
Coach Mark DeRosa said in an interview with the local media, “The players are ‘very’ aware of this fact,” and expressed his determination to try to overturn such expectations.
On the other hand, the United States announced Adam Wainwright (St. Louis) as the starter for the first game of the tournament against England on the 11th (local time). Nick Martinez, Lance Lynn and Miles Micholas are set to follow.
