A team leader-level employee in his 40s working for an LG Group affiliate has been found dead.
The Mapo Police Station in Seoul announced on April 22 that Mr. A, an employee of an LG Group affiliate in his 40s, was found dead in the Han River on April 19.
Online communities have raised various suspicions surrounding Mr. A’s death. One poster, who claimed to work at the same company as Mr. A, said, “(Mr. A) made an extreme choice after working overtime until 3 a.m. on his wedding anniversary.” “The LG holding company should immediately investigate and reveal the truth,” he wrote. Mr. B, who claimed to be Mr. A’s acquaintance, wrote in a community post먹튀검증, “As I was doing the data to report to the holding company next month, I was making, reporting, and breaking data every day, and the stress and pressure from above were enormous.” “I wonder if I was pushed to the extreme by working until my wedding anniversary and repeatedly reporting,” he wrote.
The bereaved family reportedly stated in the police investigation that “Mr. A was overwhelmed with work after he was promoted to team leader.” No suicide note has reportedly been found.
Police are investigating the possibility that Mr. A’s extreme choice was due to excessive work demands or workplace bullying. The police plan to interview Ms. A’s coworkers and supervisors as witnesses.
