First of all, I got a taste of the professional stage. I felt a wall, but I showed enough potential for development. The three super rookies, who were in the limelight last year, are entering their second year.
Newcomers receive attention every year, but in 2022 스포츠토토, there were those who drew attention. The main characters are Moon Dong-ju (20) of the Hanwha Eagles, Kim Do-young (20) of the KIA Tigers, and Lee Jae-hyun (20) of the Samsung Lions. They joined each team as the first nominations. Although he has not fully developed his skills on the professional stage yet, he showed his potential for growth and melted into the first team. I hesitated for a while due to injuries and sluggishness, but it became a valuable experience that served as a basis for development. All of them joined the 1st team spring camp, and now they dream of becoming a starting player.
Moon Dong-ju has been famous since his days at Jinheung High School in Gwangju. He received attention from many as a promising pitcher with a 157km fastball. Even on his professional stage, he sprayed powerful fastballs, but he was hampered by injuries every time. He finished his debut season with a 5.65 earned run average with 1 win, 3 losses and 2 holds in 28⅔ innings in 13 games.
Still, there were results. Moon Dong-ju got up from his injury under Hanwha’s meticulous management, and played a brilliant fight at the end of the season. In particular, in his last appearance of the season, against Daejeon SSG on October 3, he won his first win by scoring 3 runs in 5 innings. Moon Dong-ju showed good pitching to the point that coach Kang-cheol Lee, who watched the game that day, struggled with whether or not to select the national team.
Kim Do-young, a native of Dongseong High School in Gwangju, has accumulated enough experience in the first team. He was praised as ‘the second Lee Jong-beom’ and challenged himself to become a pro. Although he went through ups and downs, he continued to be named in the first team and showed a way to find a solution on the ground. Kim Do-young recorded 53 hits, 3 homers, 19 RBIs, a batting average of 0.237, an on-base percentage of 0.312, and a slugging percentage of 0.362 in 103 games.
Lee Jae-hyun, who graduated from Seoul High School, recorded 54 hits, 7 homers, 23 RBIs, a batting average of 0.235, a slugging percentage of 0.343, and an OPS (on-base percentage + slugging percentage) of 0.587 in 75 games in her debut season. Although he couldn’t play many games due to his injury, he left a strong impression with his one-hit power. It is evaluated that he is the right person to fill the shortstop vacancy created by the transfer of Kim Sang-soo and Oh Seon-jin.
If Moon Dong-ju, Kim Do-young, and Lee Jae-hyun all continue their growth curve, they can take root in the first team. The second year season when the title of super rookie was dropped. I look forward to seeing if they can live up to expectations.
