Professional billiard PBA Dream Tour (Part 2) strong players have risen to the second round of Q School.
The first round of the ‘2023 PBA Tour Q-School (Q School)’ held at the PBC Carom Club in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do on the 9th has all been completed. Thirty people, including ‘Dream Tour 18th place’ Hong Jong-myung, Park Jung-min and Koo Ja-bok, succeeded in advancing to the second round.
On the first day of Q School, Jongmyeong Hong rose to first place. After finishing 18th in last season’s Dream Tour rankings, he unfortunately missed the direct ticket to the 1st part, which was given to 15th place. On the first day of the first round먹튀검증, he defeated Won Ho-su and Koo Ja-bok in turn, recording an overall average of 1.944, confirming his advance to the second round early with the first place. Eight players, including Jang Dae-hyeon, Lee Jeong-ik, and Yoon Seok-hyeon, also advanced to the second round on the first day. Six of them were from the Dream Tour, and the strength of the second part stood out.
On the second day of the first round, the strength of the Dream Tour stood out. On the 8th, 7 people, including Park Jung-min, who was the winner of the Dream Tour in the inaugural season (19-20), Koo Ja-bok, Lee Jae-hong, and Jo Yeon-bak, were confirmed to advance to the second round. Four of them were from Dream Tour. On the final day, the 9th, six players including Hwang Hyung-beom, Kim Se-cheon, and Kim Dong-yeong, Choi Jeong-ha, and Lee Jong-han, who added up their overall scores from the third day, advanced to the second round as additional selections.
Those 30 who passed the first round will go on to the second round, which will be held from the 11th. Here, 47 players who were demoted from the first division tour will join. Among them, ‘PBA Champ’ Kim Byung-ho (Hana Card, 83rd) and Seo Hyun-min (Welcome Savings Bank, 84th), Eom Sang-pil (Blue One Resort, 77th), Kim Nam-soo (TS Shampoo, Pura Chicken, 82nd), Han Ji-seung ( Welcome Savings Bank and 108th place) are aiming to re-enter the first part. The second round is also divided into three days, and only about 30 of them go to the first part.
Seo Hyun-min will face Nam Joong-mo from 10:00 am on the 11th, and Kim Byung-ho and Han Ji-seung will face Yoon Soon-jae and Kwon Ki-young from 11:40 am, respectively. Eom Sang-pil and Kim Nam-soo will play the first game of Q School against Jin Yi-seop and Choi Jeong-ha, respectively, from 1:20 p.m.
Meanwhile, on the 10th, prior to the second round of Q School, the ‘LPBA Tryout’, a selection of new professional billiard female players, will be held. A total of 41 players will participate in this tryout and compete in the group stage (3 people in 1 group, 20 points system). The top 10 according to the overall ranking will be active on the LPBA stage in the 2023-24 season.
