In the women’s 500m final at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix held in Boston, USA on the 5th (Korean time), she won with a world record of 1:05:63. Leah Anderson (24, Jamaica, 1:08:34) in second place broke her national record, but was far behind Ball. 스포츠토토
Ball is a world-class athlete who is ranked 2nd and 6th in the world rankings respectively in the 400m and 400m hurdles, her main events. Starting with her bronze medal in the 400m hurdles at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she achieved her second straight Diamond League 400m hurdles title in 2021–2022. At last year’s World Championships in Athletics, she also won silver medals in both the 400m and 400m hurdles.
The women’s 500m is not an official event at the Olympics or World Championships. “It was the first time I’ve competed over 400m in an indoor event,” Ball told Canadian media Running Magazine. “I’m so happy she broke the world record,” she said, “but she wants to focus on the 400m and 400m hurdles rather than the 800m challenge.”
